OUR SYSTEM OVERCLOCKS
After a lot of tweaking, this is what we've settled on, a balance of power, performance, heat and stability. This will look different depending on if you set the values in your OEM or the Advanced/AMD section. To us the OEM makes more sense for our tweaks. This is on an updated BIOS running AGESA 1.0.0.3., which changed how the AMD CPU boosts by adjusting it's C-States. Medium load boost it will probably be in the OEM section and will help the CCO's boost over 5.5ghz when using more than 4 cores.
This set up will give you a 1:1 ratio on your fabric VS mem clocks which is what AMD recommends. Worth noting i had the ram up to 6,400mhz (rated at 5,600mhz) and the fabric clock up to 2,133mhz, but i'm going for the optimum ratio with the fabric clock and stability.
Also having the cooler in the 'offset' position, which i definitely recommend, as it helped shave a few degrees by placing the CPU hotspot in the middle of the AIO cooler.
BIOS Tweaks as follows
- PBO - set to advanced, limits set to (TDC 170 / TDC 130 / EDC 190)
- CPU boost override - set to positive +200
- Curve optimiser all cores - set to negative -15
- Ram set to EXPO 1 (set this first as it will reset the below settings)
- Ram set frequency to 6,200mhz
- Set ram timings to 38,38,38 (down from CL40 i.e. 40,40,40)
- DRAM VDD voltage set to 1.4v
- DRAM VDDQ set to 1.4v
- Core performance boost - disabled
- FCLK set to 2000mhz
- UCLK=MEMCLK (i,e 3,100mhz)
- Medium Load boost it - Enabled (Super important!)
- Fans set to turbo in bios (this just brings the scaling up a bit quicker)
